when I was working at a hotel over the summer someone held the bride and groom hostage in their room. the bride escaped wearing a towel to tell me what happened so I could call the police. I was the only employee on duty because night shift small hotel. the guy wasn't even their guest. he was the officiant's plus one.
i really want to know if the officiant was in on the ransom plot too or if he just invited his buddy without having any idea what was gonna happen next
oh she wasn’t. the entire family was concerned about her actually like apparently they were newly married themselves and while I was settling everyone down and my coworkers (who were now awake at 2 am due to police and also because they’d just been barhopping) were showing the bride the cool secret places to distract her, I heard about three different people quietly take her aside to ask if she was okay. apparently not only did she not know he was gonna do this, she was the ONLY PERSON who didn’t predict he was gonna pull Some Bullshit.
WAIT YOU’RE TELLING ME NOT ONLY DID THE OFFICIANT HAVE NO IDEA HE WAS GONNA DO THAT, HE WAS ACTUALLY HER HUSBAND TOO AND NOT JUST SOME GUY SHE KNEW???
